^^ She does have a gorgeous face; I can understand why people
lavish attention on her. And she's probably the biggest Latina
star in living memory who didn't downplay her Latin heritage
in order to become famous. (Remember those before/after pics
of Rita Hayworth, who had to get her hairline plucked in order
to look less like a Spanish beauty and more like a prim and proper
New England princess? When you put the pics beside each other,
the difference is astonishing.)
Having said that, J-Lo's movies are largely hallmarks of mediocrity.
If the best movie on your resume is Selena, which is liberally
peppered with cliches, then you've got no right to be bragging
about being a movie star.
