Who else wants to bet Lane will be the next guy who is "head over heels in love with Jess and has found "the one" and wants to marry her."
I think Creepy Pa Simpson is losing his pull now that everyone has realized what a joke he and Jessica are and this is the only guy he could browbeat into linking himself with Jess. Somewhere, he's congratulating himself on this "genius" manuever that he believes will save both of their careers and selling stories to the tabs about how Jess and Lane's brother/sisterly relationship growing up led to "true love."
Jess and her father are both idiots who are so desperate to stick it to Nick by making Jessica appear "sexy" and "in demand" (promiscuous) by overzealously linking her to every guy that she knows that they don't realize they've run her image completely into the ground.
PaPa Joe and his "managing skills" have made such a joke out of Jessica that I think she's beyond repair.

^^ If I recall correctly, he's that douche bag who got in a car accident a few months ago while drunk and killed a teenager that was in the car with him.
Apparently, he grew up close to the Simpleton family and Papa Joe considered him to be like family, as ominous as that is.

Thanks, Laurent. Yes, ominous indeed. Her career is on the way down and his seems to already be there. I also googled and saw he was on Prison Break. Is he still on that show since his accident?
