^^No, In america there is pre-k, then kindergarden, then 1st-12th grade.
Elementary is generally pre-k to 5th grade.
Middle school is 6th to 8th grade
High School is 9th-12th grade.....and then there's University
Pre-K-is like a starter for kids. Kindergarden is where school actually begins.
