^ You are right, it does look a bit like cosplay.
What's with the socks? The age difference might be big, but that doesn't mean that he has to dress her up like a pre-pubescent girl, that is actually a bit creepy. On the escalator pic they look like they are in love though.

Nah, shes playing 'Lolita' to him, or 'Alice in wonderland'. He has an obsession with that at the moment.

Yeah, I don't remember her doing the extremely pale face with vampy red lipstick before him. I think she's very insecure, maybe because of her age, but in that phase where being in love equals conforming yourself to what you think your boyfriend will like, instead of being who you are. I think he gets off on having a barely over 18 girl fawn all over him.

Shes been wearing the red lipstick and dressing like Dita Von Teese before they hooked up. I think she's always been trying to get him. And then when he split with Dita (which he said had nothing to do with Evan, although how odd that he had a Lolita obsession and wrote a movie about Alice in Wonderland around this time and Dita doesn't fit the character) he said Evan told him she would 'die for him and to him that was very romantic. Its macabre too which goes nicely with his image. 
Heres evan in 2006, after Marilyn married Dita (December 2005)

The style of eyeliner and red lipstick and that pursed lip smile is all Dita. Not to mention the clothes. I do think Evan beats Dita in the looks department though.
But as a 20 year old also, i know that I did things like dress a certain way to impress guys too. Not all of them have an obvious type though, luckily for Evan Marilyn did so it was easy for her.
