I also think she's one of the best actresses around. I admitt I used to dislike her (she do is dirty in most candids) but I've changed my mind. She's very strong, very natural and doesn't really care about how people judge her, that's why she works so much. She is a shit actress with very narrow range. I just saw Elizabetown on a plane and it was excruciatingly painful to watch. She was supposed to be a carefree, quirky free-spirit type with many wise observations about life. She accomplished none of those, missed the mark by a looong shot.
The best movies she's been in have been Interview with a vampire (she was 10 or so), Bring It On and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
But I digress. She's fug.

I respect her. She is one of the only young actresses who gets her fame from working and not from partying/publicity whoring. She does a lot of films and has earned her recognition that way. Even if you don't like her acting, you can't not give her an A for effort. I always get the impression that she is in Hollywood because she genuinely loves acting, and not because she thinks it is glamorous or wants the fame/fortune.

I still think she hasn't taken up the partygirl lifestyle because she's too sloppy to dress up, put on make up and all the works.  j/k
