The image i get from her is that she's trying to be someone she's not. I don't buy the high-class thing about her. A stripper is a stripper is a stripper, no matter how high class you pretend to be.

She never said she was classier than any other stripper. On the Sharon Osbourne show, it was Sharon who was saying 'you're a burlesque dancer, and thats classier' and Dita said 'I dont like to say that because I strip, I'm doing the same thing as most other strippers'. So she's not trying to be high class, i think she is just channelling 1940's pin-ups and in her book she said that from an early age she's liked women from that era.

I agree - and I don't see why there has to be some built-in contradiction between being classy and being a stripper. Dita is a classy stripper!
