John Mayer's not gorgeous, but certainly not fug IMO. Regardless, I still really enjoy his music.
I can't stand Jess, but must admit it's nice to see her happy looking and *somewhat* natural for a change (not so much make-up). Her hair, however, does look horribly yellow. She'd look so much better with a darker, sandier shade of blonde, or a cool-toned medium ash brown. The brassy color really washes her out and that orange skin has got to go.
They can screw around all they want (esp. if it pisses off Papa Joe) as long as she doesn't foul up his music. Who knows, maybe some of his talent will rub off on her. Heaven knows she needs all the help she can get.
