This might be off topic, but who the hell are the Harajuku girls anyway? I know that Harajuku is like some kind of fashion center in Tokyo ( I think), but really why does Gwen need these chicks and why does she need to launch a Alice in Wonderland looking fashion line?

We should run this look past the pageant moms, who'll want to have miniatures made of this tacky outfit.

Her face is gorgeous, and I like that shorter hairstyle on her but am NOT feeling that cheesy outfit.

I'm going to her concert this Saturday. We're taking my 13yr old cousin and it's her frist concert ever. Should be fun.
However, why on earth does Gwen insist on looking like every day is Halloween? I get that it's her "thing", her schtick; but really, she always just looks like crap.

according to her song "Harajuku Girls" she says something like: i went to japan, saw how fashionable the girls were, and fell in love with them.
they inspire her, i suppose. But its true: the fashion in Japan in light years ahead of the rest of the world.

I like that she costumes up for appearances. Why not? I don't want to see a little black dress. Generate some excitement for God's sake. I think she's fun and I love love love her hair here.

I think she is beautiful! She has the ability to "dress up" and look so glamorous and then dress all freaky and still be beautiful! I personally would never wear her clothes, but they just look so cute on her.

If I'm not mistaken, Harajuku girls hang out in public places in Japan and are known for their mix-it-up funky idiosyncratic style. I don't think Harajuku is a place or a organized thing, just some girls making their own fashion statement. I think they look ridiculous, myself. And while Gwen is a breathtaking woman, I can't see me wearing a single piece of clothing she's designed, unless I was in the circus or some fucked-up ballet.
