    I have never seen a boy so "old" in a pushchair, is there a reason in the story for this? Because it looks completely ridiculous.

    Well, Grayer in the book is about 4 years old I believe and this boy is at LEAST 7.
    I suppose it's because of working hours, the fact that grayer carries huge parts of the story and because it is easier to work with a kid that age in a big role like that.
    But.... yeah.. bad idea. looks ridiculous.
