C'mon, should anyone be surprised?
No, Nicole Richie (pictured on Wednesday night) is not a recent convert - that we know of - to Krappalah, whose followers wear a red string bracelet on their left wrists. Instead, the pin thin star is wearing a rather dubious red string bracelet on her right wrist, which in many circles are worn by deathly thin anorexic girls to show thier "Ana Pride."
We hope she's a recent convert to Kabbalah, cuz having an eating disorder is nothing to be proud of.

If the mind, that rules the body, ever so far forgets itself as to trample on its slave, the slave is never generous enough to forgive the injury, but will rise and smite the oppressor. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
It certainly could be, but I think ana bracelets are typically not so simple. They're often beaded, or woven out of multiple intertwined threads. I could easily be wrong though.
If you reveal your secrets to the wind you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees.

It coulda just been a red rubber band or a ponytail band?
If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.
god i hope it is just a kaballah braclet because thats just sad.. people with all that money just do crazy shit-
I doubt it is an ana bracelet, surely she's not THAT stupid. besides, I think the majority of girls who wear those bracelets would consider Nicole fat!![]()
No man is worth your tears, but once you find one that is, he won't make you cry
G_ F_CK Y__RS_LF - Would you like to buy a vowel??

^^ Ew, I was flicking through Sky channels the other night and was suprised to find we have 'Fashion TV'. And guess who was teetering down the runway with her hips sticking out and sunken emaciated decolletage - Vlada. Gosh I soooooo want to look like her![]()
Sorry OT![]()
Having known a few girls who had anorexia, I always thought that it the ones who truly had the disorder didnt "try" to look like anyone. The girls I knew talked about how they just wanted to be the thinnest versions of themselves that they could, because when they looked at themselves in the mirror all they saw was fat. They didnt however look at other bony anorexic girls and go "OMG THAT is what I want to look like!"
It seems to me that anorexia has become a sort of fashion trend, because the ones who I've known who had it didnt need "thinspiration" and werent really "proud" of their problem...
I think the ones who talk about anorexia in the terms of "bones are pretty" and blah blah are the ones who are thinking of it like its just another "diet" and not the serious problem that it really is.
Had a look on the internet and apparently :
Red: Anorexia
Purple: Bulimia
I think its bloody stupid, I would have thought anyone with a serious eating dissorder would not want others to know about it, let alone parade the fact with a bracelet.
Thats not to say I think Nicole [i]is[/] wearing an anorexia bracelet, don't think she's that stupid.
This is apparently what the pro ana bracelets looks like

see the only thing that doesn't make it seem like a kabbalah bracelet is that those are loose, and hers is very tight around the wrist.
apparently the kabbalah bracelets are supposed to fall off eventually. means you're enlightened
I would really hope she's not wearing an ana bracelet...she really needs an intervention.
Mischief. Mayhem. Tattoos. Soap.
Nah, what she needs is a good swift kick in the ass.
And I agree with haggard and killjoy - I don't get the ana groups AT ALL. When I was going through it I didn't have time or energy to think about anyone else. I didn't really care what other people were thinking, doing, or what they looked like. I was too busy stuck in my own head. There was no pride in what I did either - I felt like crap every time someone told me how bad it was, what it was doing to me or my relationship with them.
