    Yea, that's pretty shitty.

Glad the cat is getting some press though and hopefully someone will adopt her. She needs a good home!

I'll have you all know that we adopted a 'morbidly obese' cat from the SPCA in May. She is HUGE....still is. She's on a special diet (nothing major though) and in great health other than then that pesky weight issue! She runs, she plays, she jumps and loves the kids! Which honestly, when I first saw her, I wasn't sure if she would be able to do. She's actually extremely spry for her weight.

My point: Do not rule out ANY pet due to their weight. The cat we adopted is as agile as the next, and has been the best addition to our family!! My girls ADORE her!!

    Hissssssss
From what I read (or heard on tv this morning, can't remember) the owner had a friend take the cat to the shelter and claim it was a stray. Apparently that's the only way the shelter would accept it(?)

Side note to cat lovers: my little, skinny cat, who I am trying to fatten up LOVES cream cheese! The high fat, Philadelphia Brand, not the bargain shit.

Must be the dairy aspect, but it's a nice little treat and some cats can gain good weight from it. And they love it!!

They keep calling the cat "she" even after saying it's a "he."
