Haven't heard from hubby's coworker so we might go get a rescue.

I kinda feel nervous though if we can handle another dog and if Elmo would get along.

That's a good question..I am sure they will get into a few fights..when I had gotten my boyfriend's bird..the other cockatiel did try to be friends with it, then they'd attack eachother, and share food, etc..

off subject..but my neighbor has a pug mix dog, and she is HUGE..I wish I had a picture..she is suppose to be pug and lab I think. Cute dog...

Have you thought about a pug mix maybe?
Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable.

I wouldn't mind pug mixes. My SIL has a pug shih tzu cross and a pug terrier cross. I was browsing at our local SPCA site for puppies. Lots of pit bull mixes they have but I don't think I'll be able to control a pit bull mix properly

I read the pug rescue site more carefully and it says I'll need to donate $500. Aye!
Me n hubby were expecting to spend only that much to get a puppy from his coworker. And now hubby is changing his mind again, saying he doesn't want another dog He thinks Elmo's not gonna like it.

I say go for it too!!! When you introduce them do it outside and not on Elmo's territory, that is supposed to help and introduce the puppy's butt to Elmo's face. Let him sniff her. THey say it helps. No eye to eye at first.

Did you get a new pug now, moomies? If you did, you could use this for a Halloween costume:

    NO.

We have a very expensive dog (Maltese) that we admired for years, and then decided to get for our 5 yr old...

We love him and my daughter adores him to peices, but he really is too much work. He has to be groomed everyday, bathed 2 times a week, etc...

It really is like having another kid.

rescues are awesome..we have 3 and they are terrific, very unique personalities and very healthy. i think cross-breeds are actually always healthier or something, genetically

    Picture story below:
We got ourselves a female lab puppy two years ago, who was all sad and lonely in the back yard for one year, then we decided to buy her a female friend (good excuse for some puppy lovin' for us!) they gelled immediately, and she took on the role of mother. They soon became the BEST of friends. They ALWAYS slept on top of each other, it was amazing to see! Our friends were in awe of their cuteness! They have occasional fights (mild) yet if someone DARES try to be nasty to one of them, the other gets all pushy and tries to push the offender away (human or dog) They do try to battle for our attention, but not in a hostile way AT ALL. Its quite cute actually!

First dog: Leeloo - all alone in the yard

    New puppy, Layla arrives:

ALWAYS on top of each other, at all times:

    Serious friends:

    Sharing their D&G towel:

Now, even the too-small kennel needs to be shared at all times:

Hope u enjoyed my picture story... hahahah
Go sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here...
