    From the article: The restaurant's owners said a misunderstanding had arisen between Jolly's female companion and a waiter who understood the woman "to be saying she wanted to bring a gay dog into the restaurant".

    I'm guessing the female companion is sighted and they hadn't seen the blind guy yet. Or maybe the whole thing happened over the phone. It's not clear enough for me to condemn the restaurant.

    Where did they get the idea the dog had been "desexed to become a gay dog"? And generally speaking the harness on a guide dog is a giveaway.
