I just found this thread. Cuteness overload!! Question for Sleuth on the rats - how do they compare to hamsters for a pet for a child? More/less aggressive, do they mind being handled? I have seen lots of rat pics where they are curled up on their human, looking like an actual pet. Seems hamsters just want to escape no matter what. Our Petunia the Hamster doesn't mind being handled and she gets taken out and runs in her exercise ball, but I can never imagine her curling up on a neck or a lap or anywhere else and just napping.

AND here is my Daisy Mae, once again stealing my chair. I call her The Butt Warmer.

Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

^^I've had a few rats and I find they are far better pets than hamsters. They're very smart and friendly.

One month is WAY too young for a cat to be away from its mother. These pet shops are so uncaring about the animals they sell. Greed trumps all.

Too cute! I think I will try out a rat when Petunia the hamster finally crosses the Rainbow Bridge.
