We didn't have any option. The breeder gave us the time/day. Since we had to pick in a certain order, we couldn't move it up. Still, she is doing great! Seriously, ridiculously great. It's bound to change but she slept all last night (no whining, no accidents). She doesn't mind the kids holding her nonstop and seems to love other dogs (only ones we know who have had all of their vaccines). The funny thing is a 60 lbs goldendoodle lives around the corner. He and his owners walked by today and Goalie ran toward her, barking like mad. It was the first time I'd ever heard her voice and I'm pretty sure she was defending me.

    I love this damn dog.

We've also had no less than 10 offers to walk/feed/play with her from neighbors.

Be prepared for lots of adoring and admiring comments on your walks, too. Our Goldendoodle is almost 4 years old now but, I swear, we still get sweet comments on at least 1 of our walks each day on how cute, beautiful, sweet, rare etc. she is. These dogs are people magnets. Have fun.

That puppy is so cute I fell down. I don't have a dog but I know plenty of people who crate trained and seeing it first hand I think it's brilliant. I wish we knew about it when I was growing up. My Irish Setter scratched through the sheet rock. To this day those dogs love their crate because it's like their doggy den safe place. They go to get away from the people sometimes.

This damn dog is the best ever! She lets my four year old drag her around. My 9 year old gave her a bath. She never whines in the crate. And she's freaking adorable. Forgive my bragging.

OMG I want that dog! My friend has a goldendoodle and he is the sweetest thing. I adore him. Yours is beautiful.

PS another crate trainer here, best way to train imo. My Lily still uses hers as a retreat from humans.

My ILs are farmers and firmly believe all dogs belong outside at all times. She managed to win them over. That's fairly huge.

Thanks for indulging me. I'm afraid to sound like the crazy dog lady on facebook.
