Most labs don't calm down for 5 years or so....they are high energy and can/will chew or eat ANYTHING!!!

No, the little asshole hasn't calmed down. This morning he stood on hind legs and tried to hump my 9 year old. My husband and mom stated yelling at him but my husband had to pull him off of her. He's taller than her, has 25lbs on her, and got aggressive last time I took a pillow from him (which he was also jumping).

    Anyone know about goldendoodles?

^^Goldendoodles and labradoodles are really cool dogs. Our neighbor has one of each. The labradoodle looks like this:

and the golden doodle looks like this guy:

They are really awesome and look like little old men!

OMFG, Bella, this dog sounds like a complete spaz. I shouldn't be laughing but I am...Seriously, it sounds like this guy needs more time/work than you all are able to do right now and in the process he's going to wreck your place.

    This is our Goldendoodle, Bailey:

    ^About a year old.

^As a puppy, before her fur turned more curly and her tail more fluffy.

^After she got groomed for the first time, with her favorite toy.

    ^Cue "Happy" by Pharrell Williams

^Obviousy enjoying her snow suit, NOT.

    ^Pre and post grooming

Sounds like that dog needs a single man who runs every day. This doesn't sound like a family doggy!

Sounds like a dog that the owners never had time for! That's why he's acting this way now.

That's probably true. They haven't run this dog in ages! I'm a runner. The dog couldn't go a block without wanting to lay down. For a hundred reasons, I didn't even try to run with him.

Love all of the photos! I love goldens and know some have more golden than poodle traits. Can the breeders tell that early?

We really wanted to adopt a dog but maybe a puppy with no previous issues is the way to go

I don't know if that is what I think it is but I'm crying with laughter here

Bella the dog has got to go. Not only is he barely socialised or trained in even the most basic ways he has definite dominance issues that make him a risk to both you and your children. He needs rehoming with someone who has a lot of time, patience and plenty of experience of turning difficult dogs around. I know you don't want the trouble of housebreaking/training a puppy but I think you should reconsider. At least after it's done you know that the dog has been properly raised.

It's the rubber tube of this chewy toy. She managed to get the rope part out, so we use the rubber tube as a stick for fetch.

It's the luck of the draw. The most psycho dog I know is a labradoodle. He's always been completely uncontrollable, destructive and hyperactive. His owner has devoted a huge amount of time and effort trying to get him even halfway trained with limited success. Hes just one of "those" dogs and it sounds like yours is too bella.

^Don't worry Kitty I thought exactly the same thing as you and wondered whether that was Bailey's favourite toy or his mother's?

I had a 100 lb. choc lab. He was wonderful with us, but very anxious around my granddaughter when she was around 1 year old. He'd leave the room when she was here and if she got too close he would give her a soft growl. Made me very uncomfortable. I'm a dog lover and try to see the good in most dogs. Maybe this dog is so rambunctious because he's so happy to be in a new home/new family.

You guys got such dirty minds! Although it would be tempting to set up a hidden camera and send the dog out to fetch such naughty toys in a public park!
