^^^ you mentioned vacuums. she hates them. but, hub was cleaning the car out this morning, and used the vacuum, no Monkey. we dont have anywhere she can hide (in our yard). hub has also checked the neighbors vacant home, sometimes cats go under there. nothing yet.

Deb, I'm sorry your kitty is sick!

I hope she comes back soon so you can take her to get some treatment. Maybe call your neighbors and ask if they've seen her? She could be hiding out in someone's backyard.

Msdeb, I hope Monkey is found soon. It’s amazing how cats can fit into the smallest openings. Our cat was almost sealed under our neighbors’ new deck. The opening was only tiny but she managed to squeeze in.

I am so worried about that kitty, this isn't looking good for her. Are you sure she isn't hiding somewhere in the house? Cats can get very creative about hiding as crumpet noted.

I am SO SORRY to hear this! There are vets out there that will help you- keep trying. The most important thing is to get the infection controlled because if it goes into her blood stream (sepsis), it will become critical.

Try contacting the ASPCA or Humane Society. They may be able to recommend a vet who will provide the proper level of care. PLEASE keep us updated!!!!

ETA: I just read she is missing. OMG, you must be frantic! Cats do hide when they are sick, and usually in the craziest places, especially if they are outdoor kitties. Check all your vehicles, and when I say check, I mean look under the car, in all the wheel wells. Also pop the hood and check every nook and crannie you can. Cats like warm places and car engines are common hiding places.
Also see if you can get some sort of live trap and place it on your porch/property with a can of tuna inside- and watch the trap! The best way to get her in the trap is to stop feeding her for 24 hours, and then put the trap out with the tuna. It has worked every time for me with catching strays, and worked for a friend whose cat got 'lost' in his mom's house.

Good luck and keep us posted!!

she cant get in the house, she hates it in here. but even if she were in the house, we'd smell her . hub even crawled under the vacant house next door, because cats go under there. nothing.

This sounds like a good suggestion. Your cat has to be pretty hungry by now.
