That's so sweet Scooter. She had turkey last night I'll give her extra nose kisses for you...I kiss her about 100 times a day. Love that girl.
I'm very sorry about your cat and hope for the best. My sister's cat that was 17 just passed away in fall 2008. He had cancer around 12 and started having seizures around 15. He was given constant pills for the seizures, which stopped them, and actually led a good lifestyle. He ended up passing away because of a stupid kidney infection. He may have had another year in him. The docs missed the infection and thought it was cancer again. His usual vet wasn't there that day and the other vet said to put him down. When they got home that evening they had a message from the usual vet saying "Tests show it's just an infection and he should be alright with medication!" Obviously that vet didn't get word of what had happened. It's been really hard on my sis that they put him down when he could have been ok.
Thought I'd bring this up after reading how your cat is your 'baby.' I get really mad at people that say "Oh, it's just a cat/dog/ferret/whatever." I believe that animals are the same as children and people shouldn't judge pet owners. IMO, they're better than a child. They're your baby, your roommate, your best friend, your therapist, etc. They experience every part of your life and every facet of your personality. Hell, in my experience, two previous pets were a life saver for me several times when my life was a bit complicated. Knowing that I was responsible for their lives kept me going and made me grounded. At the time I thought my family and friends would be fine without me, but I knew that my two fur kids would end up in a shit shelter without me. I couldn't do that to them. Years later I lost both of them to cancer and adrenal disease complications.
Any chance you're part of an online cat group? I know my sister belonged to one that was either for older cats or cats with cancer. She learned a lot of things from people in similar situations, as well as great support. If you want, I can ask her for information about the group she belongs to. They helped guide her with certain treatments, different vets, etc.
How's she's doing?
Is there an update on your kitty?
I'm so sorry you're going through this, especially after losing another cat so recently.
My heart goes out to you and your kitty.

OK...well here is the long awaited outcome. The report is back and it was all localized. They are about 100% sure that they got it all!! Yeah. No follow up is needed unless it looks as if the ugly bugger is popping up again. Thanks for all of the well wishes. You would never know this dog went through anything. She is acting like a total goof..
Fred and Bella are so excited! Josie is fine yay
We Labrador girls have to stick together! I'm so glad Josie is alright! What did the pathologist call it and what stage? It sounds like they got clean margins, which is fantastic! Congratulations! I'm doing the happy dance for you guys!
That is just the best possible news. I am so happy for you!

Kris- I was just going to come here and send out my wishes to you, and then I read your last post, so that's great news! It's so good that you caught it early. I hope your Josie is doing well.
