Constance - so sorry to hear about it. Gawd, lots of us have been thru this recently, haven't we? Doesn't make it any easier.

Thanks Brookie. It rips your heart out, but you have to think of them first. Hugs back to you.

    Thanks, Eeyore.
I didn't mean to hijack your thread, FashionVictim, I apologize. This is about your loss, I shouldn't have posted.

Of course you should have posted....it makes people going thru this know they are not alone, that other people understand their pain, and that its OK to hurt so badly for a pet.

I wish you the best FV. Losing a furkid is awful. Pete was so beautiful! It's hard to lose something so close to you due to an illness. From personal experiences, I always wonder if they suffered and if I were wrong for keeping them alive for so long. You were wise to not be selfish and let him die in peace. I'd advise to focus on the positive whenever you feel guilty or bad. How wonderful of a life you provided him! If he were to go to any other place, his life wouldn't have been so great as he was with you! You provided him a home, a family, a pack. He was a very lucky chap, as were your previous furkids. Thank you for being an awesome person and providing him so much love

Constance do not apologize, we are all here to share in our grief. I am so sorry.
