Very sorry to hear this Louis. I know how much you love your pet. I have been there too my beloved cat died five years ago she was 14 years old. Take care, and again very sorry to hear about your dog.

I am sorry to hear that and can imagine how devastating it is to be faced w/ a decision like that. However, just think of all the happy times, funny moments and how you guys were blessed w/ his presence, and how loved you guys made him feel too.

    Good luck.

She will let you know when she has had enough. My prayers are with both of you.

I'm so sorry. It's incredibly hard, I know-just spend as much time as you can with her, and like others said, remember all the good times you've had.

God, I hate it when someone loses a dog. It's so heartbreaking.

I really, really feel for you.

I keep you in my thought, Louis.

....my sympathies as well.....part of the reason I don't have dogs any more is that I can't stand to lose them....but they never really leave you....I still hear a little dachshund's pitter patter of paws on harwood floors and have once in a while heard him flap his ears to get my attention.....he's been gone 22 years and I miss him like it was yesterday....

But 13 is a good, long dog's life and he is loved and taken better care of than a lot of people.....I will wish for a painless passing.....

Lois, I am very sorry. But don't give up yet, I've been giving my cat with IBS and liver problems Milk Thistle extract, and it has really helped. Do some google searches, lots of info out there.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I was getting all depressed on the way home last night, and when I got home, she was at the door waiting, eyes shining, wagging her tail. And I cursed myself for being down because she looked great and in good spirits. I still think I have some time left.

Here's Bailey in one of my favorite pics with my boys from a couple years ago.

Please just keep in mind what a happy life she has had-loving and very loved back. I hate for you to have to go through the bad part-but we always have to,just to have the honor of being their Person. Hugs.
