Lynnie, prayers for you and Spooky. You were lucky to have each other. This is so hard, but remember McJag's words, so beautifully and fittingly memorializing your wonderful relationship.

I'm so sorry for you. I know how it feels to lose a pet and just be grateful for those wonderful 17 years you spent with Spooky. Be strong Lynnie!

I keep thinking I hear her meow....its the oddest thing. And I even started to look for her this morning to feed her her 'breakfast' (she came running every time I said breakfast).

    It's so strange.....

    I am so sad....

Lynnie, I am in tears as I write this. How hard it must have been for you.
She knows how much you love her and she was lucky to have a moma like you...

Ooo I'm so sorry I know exactly how you feel I had to let my 16 year old kitty go too. about 3 years ago..I still think of her everyday.. I get all the things you said..it is hard. They are great companions..and I chucked at " not everyone loved her" that was Maxi..nor did she love everyone.. lol

Could we see a picture of Spooky? I'd love to see her.

Reading your story made me cry and I'm truly sorry for your loss. I know I'd be lost without my 2 doggies. Animals are such a joy and I enjoy being around them more than people. My heart goes out to you.

    RIP Spooky

Awww, Lynnie, I'm so sorry. I think I'm about to go through that with my 11 year old kitty too. She's got some health problems as well, and she has to stay isolated so I can't even have her wandering around the house like she used to...it breaks my heart.

Hugs to you...kitty companions are the best.
You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. Hope Floats

Lynnie, I am very sorry for your loss.....I lost my 16 cat, Buddie at the end of June. I was shattered! It's so hard to get used to the idea that they are no longer in the house with you. Be strong!

We had to put our cat Snoopy to sleep because she was just so sick and we were so heartbroken. But it was either our love for her to keep her going or to stop her pain. We chose to stop her pain because she was such a comfort to us we wanted the same for her. We miss her everyday. She is planted in our garden that she loved so much.

You did the best thing for her. I believe that.

Thanks everyone, seriously. It helps to read all your kind words and know that I am not alone.

I think today is worse than last night honestly......I am trying not to wallow in self pity. Hard. I am simply destroyed.....destroyed.

I am so sorry to hear about Spooky. She sounded like a character. It's so hard to lose a pet that has become part of your family.
