Panda, I am sorry this happened to you. The emergency clinic (I am in Roswell BTW) made it sound like this had NEVER happened and I need some kind of explanation to cling to. I probably would have gone for the necropsy just to give myself an explanation but I would have had to keep him in the freezer until Monday and then driven him to Athens. There is no way we could have handled that.
    I am so crushed.

I am so sorry for your loss. We are still stunned about this happening to our baby. I understand how you feel. It happened so fast! We couldn't come up with any other explanation except a neurological problem. Our boy was fine, playing, eating, being his usual self up until this happened. It's such a shock. (I am in Lawrenceville) WE now have 6 cats and one Pug, all rescues.

Oh Crankybroad I am so sorry for the loss of a dear family member. Hugs to you and your husband.

What a horrible thing to happen.

I feel for you and your husband at the moment.

Just know it was good for your little one to go quickly and he would have had a lovely life basking in the love from you and your husband. He was a lucky cat to have found you both.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your baby! He truly was so special...from 'picking' your husband to all of his quirks. I feel such sorrow for you because I definitely know the pain of losing a beloved pet...but I also had a smile on my face when you described him. What a special little guy. I am sorry you lost him in such a confusing and shocking way. RIP sweet baby.

Honestly, it seems like you and your husband were in the right place at the right time to have this kitty . He knew he was well loved and loved you back. Look at Soj's thread on Memorial Gardens (he called in Mourning Gardens) and start planning. I would suggest a large patch of cat nip! Just please remember-you gave him his very own dream life.

So sorry to hear of your kitty's untimely death, but at least he had a fabulous life with your family. He gave and received a lot of love in his short time, bless you for making it possible for him and the other cats and pups in your household.
