Oh Goose, that has to tear you UP to see your kitty like that He's so beautiful...but I know it is funny at the same time to see them walking in those cones like they do.

Story for you--my cat Bella had a cone on her neck last summer...she had an operation on her bum area and let me tell you, she hated the neck cone. I ended up going to the ER with her because she got sick, scared the shit out of me. Long story short, I felt so sorry for her with the hard cone...you CAN get Butch a "soft" cone, have you heard about those?

Hee hee hee, they look so funny in their Elizabethan Collars tho! Don't you ever get tempted to fill full of kibble? C'MON, just as a passing thought, not something you'd ever do?

    Default Get Well Soon Butch

This gave me a little chuckle - he is too cute! I'm sorry to have a laugh at your kitty's expense and I hope he recovers soon. Having as many animals as I do, I am all too familiar with the Elizabethan collar. They become so disoriented with it on and they end up bumping into things and rolling around trying to get it off. You know they're miserable but they look so cute at the same time.

Thanks for bringing up the ear mite subject my cat was an indoor cat for 3 years because he was so scared to go out. He goes out now but i will still keep a close eye in him for things such as ear mites.

They always look so pathetic in those cone things. He'll be fine.

And more importantly, how are YOU doing Goose? Give us an update in The Other Thread.

He such a cute little kitty but i have never seen a cat that colour before, what breed is he?

I'd say he's just a domestic short hair mutt. He and his brother are farm kittens...none of the other litter-mates survived. The Vet described his color as "buff". And, whoops, Sharon, you changed your post on me after I quoted...they'll be 2 years old in March.

We joke that the mama cat may have "gotten around" since they're from the same litter, but are just about complete opposites. Not the best picture, but this is Butch's brother, Sunny (and my daughter's latest toy):

You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. Hope Floats
