I had a tuxedo cat and she was awesome. She was sweet to me, but a mean bitch to everyone else.
I just loved her.
^ That was my Molly. Total snob to everyone else but she deigned to show me affection when it suited her. Whereas Olive is a kitty whore, rubbing and purring all over any random passerby.
"You're going to die tomorrow, Lord Bolton. Sleep well."
I've finally caved and am getting an itteh bitteh kitteh. Little boy, Bucky, to go with the existing cat lady of the house, Alice.
Will be introducing them VERY SLOWLY given Ms A's track record at beating the shit out of other cats to protect her space!
See, Whores, we are good for something. Love, Florida
He's home now, and we're going OK. He's had his vaccinations and had to be given Revolution to deal with a case of fleas (so awkward, as I can't bitch about it at work in case the receptionist, who I adopted him from for free, gets offended. But man... YOUR CAT HAD FLEAS AND YOU GAVE HIM TO ME. Fuck!) Fleas all gone now, and big cat also treated with Advocate so she'll be covered too.
Settling in with Ms Alice has been OK. Initially she was So Not Impressed (as expected) but they're now at a point, after 5 nights together, where they can be in the same room (under my supervision) without too much shit going down. I still split them up when I'm out, in case shit happens... particularly as Bucky is insatiably curious and likes to play with Alice's tail. Despite her batting in him in face several times for this, he won't stop - the amount of times I've turned around and gone "Bucky! No!!" but... too late.
But today was good. We reached kitty détente! They both had naps on the same cat tree, less than 10 cm away from each other, without anyone going apeshit.... then they woke up, Alice punched Bucky for no reason, then he settled himself in her bed and whacked her away then ate her food out of her bowl before getting another punch...
I'm so not cut out for motherhood, even of the furbaby kind....
