    Somehow, all the cats I've ever had were female. I'd go with Gaston if I ever got a male. Somehow French names rreally work for cats. Also like Maurice, Felix (of course, though boring) and Francois.

    IMO, it gives them an almost whimsical kind of dignity. A knew of someone who had a cat named Mr. Perkins....huge silver tabby.
