Okay, so Mom wants a more fun and cute and cuddly name. She said my suggestions were too much like a British man.

    She likes:
Marley (sorta, but sorta not bc of Chiniston's movie)
    Riley
    Henry
    Bo
    Benny
    Gillian

I'm going to see what she thinks of these: Boomer, Chester, Dudley, Floyd, Ollie, Ziggy, Winston, Rufus.

Any other ideas? You guys are great!

I'm trying to come up with more, babe.. Im guilty of giving my doggie a cutesy, non-human name so it's weird for me to see names like these lol..

Cosmo, Frankie, Emerson, Herbie, Moe, Oscar, Regis

I agree with Witchy - I would have suggested George, too as it puts me on a real trip down memory lane.

I had a rubber toy dog as a kid that looked rather like the basset in the picture Grimm posted, all loooong head and droopy face and he was called George. I adored it and took him everywhere, my mother hated it simply because of the commotion should George accidently get left behind anywhere. He was about 12 inches high and in a sitting position. He might have had a squeaker in him once, too, but it never worked while I had him. I think we got him from a jumble sale when I was just a tiny thing but I've never seen another one. I had George until the rubber perished and he fell to bits, and then his place was taken by a hideous but much loved orange and brown cuddly rabbit called Buffy and my mother's nightmare began anew.

One of my dogs is called Benny! Therefore, I agree with the Benny suggestion.

Or Elvis (nothin' but a hound dog, hehe)? Or, for that matter, Sherlock. Or maybe something French (as I think they're a French breed)... Remy, Leon, Napoleon?

Thanks for your help on this one guys!! The winning name is... Max!

    Here's the little guy:

We think he's actually a Beagle/Basset Hound mix. He's so cute. I love his coloring.
