Had to take one of my usually extremely healthy cats to the vet today. She's been limping and we couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, no broken bone, no wound that could get infected, just a whole lot of limping. Turns out she'd bunged up her "knee" on her back leg by apparently slipping and sliding on our wooden floors. The vet described it like a human torn meniscus. Vet didn't operate but she was given a cortisone injection and a injection right into the joint with this stuff made from rooster combs they once injected the Mr.'s knee. He said she'll be limping a while as it heals. Poor kitty looks so dejected and depressed.
