My aunt had a Sheltie, looked exactly like a half version of Lassie, I don't recall him being as super fluffy-furry as your sweeties, but it was many years ago.

I KNOW! We always looked after other people's dogs whenever they went on vacations, so we knew the fun part of it, and the dogs did love us, but you could obviously tell the difference when their own people came back to pick them up. The utter joy and love was soooooo sweet to see. Now we finally have our own hairy human (yep, we do believe she thinks she's a human person) and she's simply a joy. You know when your dogs look you straight in the eye, or when they nudge you to pet them, stuff like that. Sigh.

Oh yes, they hug us with their eyes. I see so many videos of dogs going absolutely crazy when their owners come back....and I say to myself ya that's what mine do when I come back from the mailbox. I've never been so popular in my life.

No kidding! There were a couple of Cesar Milan cases in there. They aren't cute at all. I had one of those, snarling and threatening. No owner should put up with that. Luckily ours was salvageable and she became the best dog I ever owned, but if she hadn't been trainable she would have been gone.

    Beautiful pups, Witchywoman and HWBL!

I wouldn't want to groom those shelties though. The shedding is bad enough around here with the border collie and the pound puppy. And the cats.

Brushing your dogs and cats EVERY day really helps with the shedding.

When we leave our dog at the groomer's, she's usually there for quite some time. Then when we come back, first thing she does is stand up against us and with her paws puts a lock around our arms or our waist in a "I'm never ever gonna let you go anymore!" way, sooooooo cute.

I'm too busy vacuuming every day to get to brushing them all! But I do try. Some are more cooperative than others, only one of my cats enjoys/tolerates it well.
