The chewing is going to be a hard one to overcome. At 10 weeks she's getting ready to teething or already is. Watch for bloody gums and lost baby teeth. When mine were teething we would constantly redirect their attention when they were chewing something "bad". Baby carrots and small biscuits helped. You can also by a spray that tastes terrible to help deter.

I personally never crate trained and I really wished I would have. I have two dogs wandering around all night and sleeping in our bed. If I try to put them in their room now, they carry on like we're killing them.

Thanks CharmedHour. I'm gonna try a different brand of the bite deterrent...I think she might like this one.

I ordered a training program online for her, and it should be here today. I'm crossing my fingers that it works, mostly in terms of the biting. That's the one thing that worries me, since it could lead to biting habits when she's an adult. I'll keep an eye on her gums too

Oh, and she really likes her crate. Last night, my husband and I were up later than usual watching a movie. Cali decided it was her bedtime, walked over to her crate, climbed in and konked out. I couldn't find her and then I spotted her snuggling her stuffed squirrel and sleeping in her crate.

She's a good puppy, just a little crazy sometimes.

    LOL!

Get this: I was paying for her training program via paypal, but my laptop battery was dying. I walked over to plug it in, turn my back for 10 seconds to finish the transaction, and turned around to a puppy present on the floor.

Then she made sad puppy face and all was nearly forgiven.

The crate is your friend. And the dog regards it as their den. My 2 labs often go hang out in theirs with the doors open. The saddest dog I ever saw was my late girly Lucy when I put away the crate for good.
