Cuteness overload! How is Spooky doing now? Over the sickness?

I love it! I love black cats, but for some reason they have a harder time getting adopted I've been told at shelters around here.

I had two (Boo and Salem), have just Salem now, good luck with your new family member lynnie you saved a life!

Awwwww sweet sweet sweet! My sister has 2 cats and they are her babies. I hope your kids are loving their kitty cat, Lynnie!

I was told that when I adopted my Maine Coon. They said that black cats typically aren't adopted as often, which is odd. Is it the stereotype of them? Perhaps people don't find them as cute? This is my 2nd black cat too and don't understand when they aren't as 'desirable' as others. Makes no sense to me!

Well, Spooky is going to the Vet in about 2 hours. Keep your fingers crossed for us. They were concerned about her sneezing, moreso than the other issues. And her lack of medical care up to this point....

Aww Lynnie, adorable pics of the kitty and your human baby. I have a cat named Spooky too, and one of those trains for around the tree, although I didn't put it out this year. I don't trust my crazy mutt puppy with it.

Glad you're getting her to the vet.

So what does your Maine Coon think of the interloper?

Happy to say that Spooky is VERY healthy! She had a boat load of tests and everything looked great! She has a slight upper respiratory thing, but nothing to be upset about. She was such a little love the whole time---she purred and was so cooperative! Two of the techs came from out back when I was paying the bill to tell me how sweet she is and that she didn't even flinch when they gave her her shots.

I do have to give her some liquid deworming stuff, but again, nothing major.

Am very happy that she is in as good a shape as she is honestly, because she has had zero medical treatment/intervention so we just had no clue....

Thanks everyone for your warm wishes! So happy we got her!
