    Default Little turtle

La Libertad, El Salvador, October 10, 2008--A recently hatched Olive Ridley sea turtle makes its way towards the Pacific Ocean on Toluca beach near San Salvador.

An environmental organization released about 1,500 of the captive-bred turtles. The species is listed as vulnerable by the IUCN primarily due to illegal capture, bycatch, and habitat loss

OMG I love turtles so damn much!! Especially little guys that are just trying to get the water!!

Side Note: Just saw a huge snapping turtle crossing the road the other day, trying to get to a creek. Hope he made it across w/o getting hit. It was a 4 lane road, and can be busy. Poor guy.
