Default Zoo Atlanta has a new panda cub

Every birth of every panda is very special This little guy was in quite a situation until zoo personnel stepped in and helped him out. He has now been reunited with his momma, Lun Lun

    Panda....how excited are you???

Looks like momma knew something was wrong and knew that her keepers would come to the rescue

I have been so nervous, worrying about the little guy. Lun's a good Mom and they also have experts watching every move, so he'll be fine. We are thrilled to death here in Atlanta!

When I joined Zoo Atlanta I had been a member of the Washington D.C. zoo. There is a world of difference, Zoo Atlanta is geared towards the gorilla's (which is OK with me as it's my favorite animal) but they do not have much else.

I hope the baby pandas bring in more people and maybe the zoo will grow. I understand it will be moving soon.

I love panda's greater and lesser.

Zoo Atlanta has come a long way over the years and has plans to expand, not move as we first heard. The pandas have been good for Atlanta, I know I've lost my mind over them!

Thing is the cost of admittance is to high. The food to poor (visit the Georgia aquarium and you get great food and great service) We were treated pretty bad (woman wouldn't get off the phone) at the gift shop.

Like I said I'm a Gorilla fan (I support Koko gorilla foundation) so I love the zoo but the kids were like where is the rest of the animals. The reptile house was OK but when your grandchildren live close to the Navar Zoo in Florida Zoo Atlanta pales.

I was hoping they would move it to a nicer area, it's hard to get to the zoo now.

I like the panda's. Their birth is a miracle and if they make it to one years old thats even more of a miracle.

they still have a long way to go, I agree with all you said, and I also hoped they'd move it to our county, which is Gwinnett.
