So sad. I'm glad the dog was found.

Differences between cats and dogs... I bet my cat would try to eat me rather than guard me if I dropped dead.

Aww what a devoted, loving dog. Sad, but glad she'll be ok.

Ever read the Chicken Soup for the pet lover's soul or Dog lover's soul? There are some wonderful/true stories of devotion in those books. They are wonderful.

One a dog waited at the end of the driveway for his owner to come home everyday about the time he would come home. Then the owner died, that dog waited out there for DAYS and DAYS just waiting for him. It makes me cry just thinking about it. In the end.. the dog died out there under a tree. *tears*

    What an amazing animal.

I'm interested in the backstory, though. Why would he take his dog with him to commit suicide? Why did he commit suicide at all?

I'm glad the dog is taken care of. I hope the man's wife and his baby will be okay.

That was a sad story but glad the dog is ok. I need to go back to the gossip section, I can't be crying at work...

    6 weeks?
    holy sh.....
not exactly sure what makes me more sad - the fact that noone missed the dogs owner (family, friends,..) or what the dog has to go through (nothing to eat/drink)...

    :/

My mom told me a story of when my great-uncle died, they took his dog to his grave a few months later. The dogs jumped out of the car and ran straight to his grave. The dog was never there before, that was his first visit but he knew exactly where his owner wsa buried.

Awww... poor dog, but he knew what he had to do (protect dead master) and at least he's now reunited with the rest of the family.

Yes it, too, crossed my mind why the master would want to bring his dog in a remote area w/ his dog to commit suicide. Just do it alone yourself, man.

Honest to God, GSD's are the most loyal animals known to man.
