Default Titan wonderdogs, the 65,000 burglar alarm

It might look like a cuddly family pet - but the highly-trained German Shepherd is the future of frontline home security.

The Titan dogs are trained in odour detection and search and rescue

Titan wonderdogs are taught to track and trap intruders until police arrive, protecting families and their homes.
The Schutzhunds - protection dogs - spend two years being trained at specialist German camps where they are schooled in odour detection and search and rescue as well as being tested for their strength, courage and endurance.
This and their impeccable pedigree means that they can fetch up to 65,000.
But despite the high price tag, they have already proved a hit in Japan and the Middle East, just weeks after being launched.
American-based Simon Brodie came up with the Titan after speaking to people about their home safety concerns.
“You can have the most expensive CCTV cameras and alarms in the world but if someone climbs into your garden when your children are playing they can be useless,” he said. “The Titan will alert people to danger as well as acting as a deterrent.”
He stressed that while the dogs are trained to scare burglars, they can also be trusted with young children.
“While we train them to be aggressive, they will not attack and are therefore completely safe for families,” he said.
“And, of course they are gorgeous looking dogs. I saw one the other day and it was so impressive seeing something so powerful in total control.”
A “standard” Titan can be snapped up for just 45,000, but for 65,00, there is the Titan Ultra - which can be traced back to champion German Shepherd bloodlines.
Titans are available at Lifestyle Pets * Unique and Rare Animals * Exclusive Pets, the same company which launched the world’s “largest, rarest and most exotic” domestic cat, the Ashera.

I'm sorry but both dogs and children are unpredictable creatures, there is no way I'd leave a child unattended with a dog- even one trained to buggery-fuck will still bite if it gets poked in the eye by an inquisitive two year old.

I think I'll invest in some guard geese!!

Stupid geese. I hate them. Hissing, honking, chasing you for no reason... if you kick them, they keep coming..

    That's why they're great guards!

I grew up with German Shepherds (bred by dad and grandfather for awhile) and one in particular we had from the time I was baby until I was 15. The best dogs. Evar.

I have a picture of a goose biting the finger of a 3 year old and it was bigger than she was!

That dog is beautiful. American German Shepherds are so inbred they have a plethora of medical problems, while beautiful they seem more like show dogs than working dogs. Our police department gets their K9 dogs from other countries.

I own dead bolt locks, 3 dogs, 1 glock and least of all a baseball bat. Now all I need is the presence of mind to use them when needed.

So what's to stop a crim shooting the dog and THEN climbing over the fence?

I would totally buy one, if I had the money (though I would rather have a Rottweiler than a GS). I stumbled across a site that trained guard dogs for personal use, and I thought it was really kind of cool.

Gorgeous!! I would certainly feel more protected with that guy!!

Josie is a deterrent with her bark, but she would like a burglar to death...
