Default Question: Do you tip Pet Groomers??

I just dropped my newly adopted cat off for her first grooming. Will pick her up in a few hours. As I was driving home, wondered if it was expected that I tip them, like people hairdressers?????

    Anyone know???

I don't to insult them by NOT tipping them, but also don't want to try to tip them if it's not something you do too!!

    Anyone??

I thought you were supposed to tip, but when I did they acted surprised. Maybe it depends on the salon. I'm no help, but I want to hear what others say about his as I've been wondering myself!

I don't tip the vet's office staff when they provide grooming (& some do) but I do tip the private salons. That's the distinction I always make~

Needless to say, things got a little nuts when I picked up the cat, so I didn't end up tipping them, but felt very bad that I didn't.

She looked soooo cute and pretty! She had little pink bows in her hair and smelled great!

I was talking to my husband and he said I should have tipped them. I may stop in, in a few days and give em a few bucks.

    Thanks everyone!
