no offence, but i doubt it's pets that keep women in these relationships. i think a lot of them make up a lot of excuses to stay, pets being one of them. the guy's promise never to do it again is another. and masochism. and a billion other reasons.

^Don't disagree there, but if this ad removes on those excuses, it's a step in the right direction.

wow am I touchy on this topic.

that's excellent that the pets have options, too bad the fucking laws, prosecutors, and sentencing guidelines provide so little protection to the actual PEOPLE (including children) involved.

good somebody's looking out for the dogs.

Sputnik, probably very true.

In England we have the Dogs Trust: Ways We Help: Outreach: Freedom Project which is free foster care for dogs belonging to women getting out of abusive relationships. I think it's great idea.
"Dogs in homes with domestic violence are often targets of abuse.
In several recent studies of women entering refuges for protection against domestic violence, nearly half reported that their pets had been threatened, injured, or killed by their partners."

I can't imagine what I'd do to a guy if he hurt my dogs
