    Default My ex-kitty

I was just posting in the "who gets the pet in a split" thread, and it got my mind thinking about my little girl.

My ex and I got her during our marriage, and when we split she stayed with him. (She is a total daddy's girl, and their bond was amazing...I couldn't take her away from him!) Anyway, I still have a key to our home and will sometime drop by to give her a snack and a snuggle. I miss her quite a bit.

Here are some pics of my baby Namira:

I admire you for putting her first! Good for you, very unselfish.

I hate that about me...but now I get to be the divorced parent that gets to spoil her with no discipline.

It has its perks, I suppose! I do miss her, but my lifestyle isn't conducive to another kitty right now. Plus, I could never replace this little girl.

I also have an adoptive kitty that belongs to my roomie, so I guess this will have to work. She tends to be a little trouble-maker though!

Awww. She has a lot of charisma for such a small cat. How old is she? Looks quite young, maybe three months...? So cute!

She's adorable and that's amazing you put her first. My best friend's partner was spiteful and took 2 out of their 3 cats and refused to let her see them. One of the kitties was extra-special because i had given him to her when he was just a baby. After several years of instability and who knows what kind of environment, her ex finally relinquished Zach to my best friend. He was pretty traumatized and had a really hard time adjusting to the new kitty siblings he had in his new home.
Thankfully all is well now and he is a big, beautiful healthy pure white cat with one blue and one green eye . It's devastating though--they are our children.

She is adorable - what a sweet face! I know it must be difficult to let her go but at least you still get to see her. If my husband and I split - I hope I could be this mature about our cats. One of my favorite cats favors him.

A Calico! My first kitty was one, she followed us home on 4th of July when I think I was about 8 and had her until I was about 22. I miss her. I'm glad you're able to visit her.
