The sight of these majestic polar bears snuggling together in the snow is enough to make even the iciest heart melt.


And as mother and cubs frolic together across a glistening white expanse, it's almost impossible to believe that the babies are set to grow into some of the most ferocious creatures in the world.

A polar bear cub nuzzles its mother in a tender moment

The cubs take shelter from the bitter winds behind their mother





The family of bears was spotted playing together along the shore of Hudson Bay in Wapusk National Park, Canada.


As the captivated photographer looked on, the playful cubs tumbled around, mock fought - and then, like any baby in need of some comfort, went running back to their mother.

Mummy Bear, meanwhile, only broke off to attend to a very itchy back by scratching it on the ground.



The park has the only polar bear settlement where humans can observe the bears in the wild, and November is the best viewing time. Polar bears are native to the Arctic and are the world's largest land carnivores with adult males weighing up to 1,300lbs.
