Default What do you think of this?

I overheard a conversation between someone and her boyfriend about her bringing home some lost kitty she found on the street. He said something like "Why do you always have to pick up lost animals from the street? They know how to survive there." and she said something that man, if I were her parents, I'd be fucking proud: "It's like when you're driving a car and then you see a wall in front of you. What would you do? You'd stop the car, right? Because that's an instinct, because that's the most logical thing to do. Because that's what you do".

    Smart chick.

I don't know if that's smart. It is genuinely kind, though. But, with that logic, she'd end up with a dozen or so strays and no one needs that burden.

I have four cats now from having done that, and even though I love each one of them dearly, they have cost me THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars over the years.

I think it's a good thing, but she should know her limits. I have a house full of pets and if I ever find a stray, I either give it to my vet (he finds homes) or I give it to a rescue that I make donations to.
