    Default Doggie ear infection?

I'm not sure what's wrong with my lil' miniature pinscher. She keeps keeps shaking her head. And leaning her head to one side. That side looks swallon, like it looks larger compared to her other ear. I looked in it and doesn't look bad. Any reccommendations?

Does sound a like an infection (my staffy had one a few weeks ago!) Would recommend a visit to the vet for some ear drops

Oh, thank you. Her ear doesn't look swallon today, but there was ear wax or a dry patch of something on the outter ear this morning. Just a very tiny patch, which I scratched off. So, I'm not going to worry right now.

If she keeps flicking her head as days go on, you may want to see a vet. One of my mom's dogs had that and he had a llittle ear infection it turned out. They vet gave some ear-drops that fixed it right up.

^Oh, really? She'd had watery eyes now for some time, but the ear thing just started yesterday. I hear dogs get allergies?

Mine just went thru the same thing. Vet had to wash out his ears-some wax & hair was right up against the eardrum. There was an infection under it-ears drops and antibiotics both. He is still finishing the capsules. Twice a day. You might want to take yours in for a look-see.

OK. My Maple is so well taken care off, but I admit to not like spending the extra money on the vet.

This is ironic cause I just took Fin, my beagle, to the vet today to check out his ear. For the past few days, he has been scratching at his ear and crying a little. The vet said he did have an infection and now I have drops for him. They also said he has allergies pretty bad and gave me benedryl for him...

Can you get "Thorn it" over there?

A check up might be a good idea of course.

Good to know, I love to hear about responsible dog owners who actually make sure their dog gets the proper medical treatment. It breaks my heart when I see people get puppies for aesthetics but then don't have the means or will to care for them.
