The lamb dressed in panda's clothing
You've heard of mutton dressed as lamb - but here's lamb dressed as panda.
The astonishing black-eyed markings on the youngster made it top of the flock as it gambolled with its newborn playmates.
Er. are ewe sure you're not a panda?
The lamb - one of the rare Shetland yuglet breed - was spotted in a field near Knebworth, Hertfordshire, by amateur photographer Brian Andrews.
"It looked amazing," he said. "I thought, 'It's just like a panda.' I felt like I had discovered a new species."
Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below?
Mr Andrews is indeed observant, alas I fear, not too much so. My farmer friend who crosses his Scottish mule ewes with Suffolk tups and Texel tups, produces some beautiful lambs, however every now and again there is a throw-back and some of them are extremely peculiar, drawing comments from visitors to the Castle on his farm. I too have been questioned and replied - "throw-back", never seems to satisfy some, so I make up some rare endangered obscure breed like Black-eyed Galloway (one of my favourites) and they leave quite satisfied.
