Oh, my goodness. This is the commercial that shows several dogs in a shelter with the voiceover saying "I know how to fetch. I know how to roll over. What I don't know is how I ended up here. But I'm a good dog" (that's when I lose it and cry every time). Pedigree says they will donate portions to shelters when you buy their product. Anyway, that commercial breaks my heart. Every time, even as I write this I get teary.

I feel the same way! A girl I work with saw it first and warned me that it would break my heart when I saw it. She's not as much of an animal person as me and she said it still got to her so she wanted to give me a heads up. It still broke my heart though. So sad. But the same girl is afraid of clowns so I gave her a heads up on the new Kenmore commercial with a bunch of clowns coming out of the washer![]()
I cry too.

totally agree..it's v. good to adopt from shelters if you are looking for a pet..
I didn't even see this thread! I just mentioned the commercial in Panda's thread about her adopting the Pug from a shelter! I cry every single time it's on. I get teary eyed when I explain the damn thing to people!!
...No, I'm not crying. It's something in my eye.
I caught it last night, while I was grabbing a snack, and I couldn't watch any more. I was afraid if I did, I would start crying and wouldn't be able to stop. I saw this sad-eyed dog staring through a cage, and heard the words:"I know I'm a good dog...What I don't understand is how I ended up here". I get so upset when I think of all the abandoned, homeless, animals. I'm so glad I adopted Cassie the Calico from the shelter, even though she's a little stinker.
that commercial absolutely breaks my heart! I adore animals and all of my cats and soon to be Pug are rescues! It's the right thing to do.
