Does fur color matter to you?
i am planning on adopting some puppies next year and also a kitten. i have decided i am going to try to find shelter rescues with black fur. i love black dogs, they look so gorgeous.
do you guys think about this kind of thing when adopting?
if there is a blonde dog with a very nice personality i will consider, but i am really quite partial to black dogs at the moment lol

Go with your gut feeling about any animal you're considering. I would just say that if you wear a lot of light colors, think twice before getting a dark dog. My cat has black and white hair. I wear a lot of dark colors esp. in winter, so I spend a considerable amount of time keeping the white hairs at bay.

I have pets of almost every color (black dog, Siamese cat, Tabby cat, gray and white cat & orange and white cat)...I'm covered in pet hair no matter what I'm wearing I would focus more on the personality than anything.

My dog is a browinsh red with patches of white and black, so fur color doesn't really matter to me.
He was a cutie and sweet, that's why I picked him.

Toby was picked for me. He was a gift from a boyfriend. He is the kitty in my signature, and as you can see, he is impeccably dressed for the occasion in a silver tuxedo. I might have picked him myself, because he is so adorable.
My other cat, Cassie, is a calico, and I never really thought I wanted one. I just picked her out of all the kitties at the shelter, because she was full grown, and I did not think I wanted a kitten. But her vivid color scheme has grown on me. I think it fits her flamboyant personality.

xoxo, I know how you feel about black dogs My lab, Josie, is black The last dog to get chosen at the shelter is usually large and black They get looked over the most.

At shelters here (England) black dogs and cats are harder to re-home Boo.
My labrador is black and I love black dogs, I think they look sleek.

The pets we adopted from shelters my mom picked out because they were weaker (I never went along, because I'd wanna bring all of them home). I guess to me fur doesn't matter at all: I just adopt the neediest mutts that come to me.

I like certain colours on certiain breeds. But if you get a black on and walk it at night its hard to see, they also get hit by cars more because they are difficult to see at night
