A wandering dog led police to an alleged drug house in Scarborough.
Officers from Scarborough Police pulled into their staff car park about 1.30pm on Friday when they noticed a Mastif cross, walking without its owner. The dog ran across the road, forcing drivers to brake to avoid hitting the animal. The officers chased the dog, following it across the road and down a laneway to a unit in Hinderwell Street, where its owner was found.
Police will allege that they found a full syringe and cash on a table in the unit. Other drugs were also allegedly found in the house as well as an unlicensed shotgun and ammunition in a vehicle at the property. Two men and three women who were at the house are facing a string of drugs and firearm charges.
