I have seen this all over FB today... I am not sure if it is real or not. It happened pretty quick and when you slow it down it makes it look unbelievable. I do know that eagles & owls have taken small dogs and have heard for years that the larger eagles can carry off a small child.

"What? An eagle carrying a baby?"
"It could grip it by the husk!"
"It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound baby."

"It could be carried by an African eagle."
"Oh yeah, an African eagle, maybe, but not a European eagle. That's my point."
"But then the African eagle's not migratory..."

Definitely looks real. And it's cool to know there are some people here who remember Monty Python.

That doesn't look like a baby, it looks like a doll. Sits sort of slumped over and doesn't move when the Eagle carries it off.

I live in the Montreal area and if this were real it would have been all over the news.Maybe it will be on tonight but until they talk to the dad I'm thinking it's a fake.

At the :23 and 1:36 points, the baby ducks its head down just before the bird grabs him. I guess it could still be fake, but don't see any telltale signs.

Local Montreal radio station just said the video is a fake. It was done by students of 3D animation at a design school in Montreal as a class project.
