The rat and the cat are totally diggin' each other The dog must feel as though it's carrying some enormous(e) fleas on his back.

    Really sweet vid.

You had ferrets? How many did you have?

An old acquaintance of mine used to have a black-footed ferret named "Tiki".
I really liked Tiki, and I imagine that he liked me, too, because every time I visited his owner, Tiki would sneak over to me and crawl into a space underneath my jacket and go to sleep. Nocturnal animals, aren't they, ferrets?

Tiki's owner told me that he had to bathe Tiki once a week due to his musky smell -- is that true? He told me that he'd shake body powder (talc) on Tiki as well.

Same guy also had an overweight deodorized skunk as a pet, too. That did not last long. Skunks are beautiful, but best left in the wild or in cities, scavenging.

    Mrs P.

I forgot to tell you that when I first met Mr. Pip in a tawdry part of town, there was a woman who used to have a ferret. She'd walk him on a leash, I'm not kidding!

I had 2 ferrets previously. One was a grey color and the other one a dark eyed white. Red eyed ones sort of freak me out. Anyways, they passed away around 2007. They were very outgoing and friendly. Never would bite anyone. I used to walk them on leashes places. Ferrets get a bad rap, but I always tell people that it's the owners and not the animal. You have to raise them in the right environment.

I just got two new boys around July 2011. Males are much more cuddly and outgoing than females. As for washing them, it's actually bad to wash them more than once every two months. The more you wash them, the more their scent glands go into overdrive and the muskier they get. Aren't you in the UK? Ferrets over there are not descented and still have those glands. My boys were American, although I relocated to the UK with them. I'm back in the states again and these two guys are descented as well.

If the ferret would cuddle with you and sleep, then he definitely liked you

You can see my two new boys in the Pet polls thread. Oh yeah, for sleeping schedule, they actually adjust to their humans depending on when you take them out to play. They actually sleep quite a bit - sometimes up to 20 hours a day. The one bad thing about ferrets is that they poo up a storm due to having a fast metabolism. We're talking about a deuce every four hours!

In Pippin's world, tawdry is probably code for ethnically diverse.
As Canadian as possible under the circumstances
