it was probably the milk. many cats are lactose intolerant. if kitty got the runs after drinking it i bet that's what it is. you probably shouldn't feed it milk anymore.
I am very new at owning pets..and one of my new kittens who is 8 weeks old, just pooped up green colored diarrhea. He kept meowing. Instead of pooing in the litter, he pooped in a plastic bag besides it. He was all playful before, and after he drank some milk, it seemed like he got a bit tired. Now he is sleeping and resting. So any advice of what to do with him to make him get better?I'll see if I can send him to the vet tomorrow.

I think it is good you are taking kitty to the doctor but kittens often have less than solid stools.I used to have to clean my kittens up because they pooped on their legs. They lived to be 17 and 19. I miss them.
I agree with Frank, it may have parasites. Quick trip to the vet should take care of that.
Keep passing the open windows.
yup I agree it might be worms. The vet might suggest a low residue diet for a few days, but I really always thought cats should not drink milk. Lactose intolerance will cause nasty poop like that.
Cow's milk is designed for baby cows, not baby cats.
Lay off the milk - give them proper kitten food (you can buy it at the supermarket) and plain old water. And not too much. A kitten's stomach is about the size of a small egg. They don't need a huge quantity - little and often is best.

Wow thats funny I did not know that, I always associate cats with milk!many cats are lactose intolerant
No man is worth your tears, but once you find one that is, he won't make you cry
G_ F_CK Y__RS_LF - Would you like to buy a vowel??
blame that on cartoons
when i had bunnies the vet told me not to feed rabbits too much carrot, because they can get sick
^^ that's interesting! Sounds so cute that you had rabbits svz! I had one when I was in like grade 3, it was supposed to be a miniature panda rabbit but then it grew so big that it started to bend the cage (it obviously couldn't fit in it anymore) so I had to give her away. She went to a good home where there were more bunnies in a bigger barn with other animals.![]()
Dogs are lactose intolerant, too guys!
If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.
^^ Agree. However, after thousands of years most humans can tolerate cow's milk. Personally, I never drink the stuff but I'd find it very hard to give up cheese.

The whole "milk is good for you" thing was a successful marketing campaign by the milk producers. They pushed it as a good source of calcium for growing teeth and bones, which it is. But there are plenty of alternatives. I remember as a kid we were encouraged to Drinka Pinta Milka Day (see? I can still remember the advertising slogans).

I'm not a big dairy fan, period, but does that organic milk taste the same?
Pour out his 'real' milk and put the organic in the carton...hell, what they don't know can't hurt em!
THE EASIEST WAY OUT IS THROUGH....
i'm lactose intolerant. i've bought soy milk but the only way i can stand to drink it is with cereal. it has sort of a sweet taste. i tried making scrambled eggs with it once. GROSS!!!!!!! now i just don't drink milk at all. maybe have some skim milk with a bowl of cereal. skim doesn't seem to make me feel as bad as 2% (which is nasty anyway)
I only have milk in my tea/coffee and cereal.
Boyf drinks gallons of the stuff though. He's very tall - he says that's all the calcium. Bless himI can see why some people don't like it, I mistakenly took a sip of lukewarm milk and felt
But all in all I like dairy.
OT: but Calendargurl, your new avatar made me jump!
Back to cats, they say you should give them water. Although most cats get hydrated enough through their food (if feeding wet food). For kittens though I'm sure they'd appreciate kitten milk.
