I fully believe animals have souls- I see them in my pet's eyes. There's no denying that.
I've never doubted that animals had souls. Koko ALWAYS breaks my heart. I've read alot of stuff about Koko but when that damned cat of hers (All Ball/Ball) gets ran over, it kills me!
Kill everything... that IS the solution!

oh god, i wish i hadn't looked, either.
i'm a little late, but this article and the other one about restoring your faith in humanity are officially my all-time-favorites. i'm crying like a baby.
the ones where the animals remember the people who brought them up are just too much.

I don't even know what to say, I shed a lot of tears especially for Christian the lion

I loved my Koko book when I was younger about her choosing a new kitten. She was able to communicate what she wanted all in sign language. Alex was amazing too. It's a shame he died so young for an African Grey. The studies that he was involved in at UofA really showed the cognitive communication that some parrots are capable of.
I know Ruby the elephant isn't mentioned in this article, but I just want to bring her up. She was an amazing animal. She created amazing paintings. I was fortunate enough to visit her several times when I was a child. My friend's mother worked at the zoo with her. We were doing a project on how elephants and humans that are color blind have the same visual pigments. Oh I wish I had one of the paintings she created when we worked with her! She was the sweetest thing.
