How cute! I'd still be scared that he'd shoot some quills and hit me in the ass.

I had no idea that porcupines were that large. I've never seen one first hand and I thought that they were a lot smaller.

    How cute!!!

Yeah, and let's not pet the l'il guy with bare hands and shorts on! Woo hoo. Didn't realize they could be so friendly though.

Who in the heck keeps a porcupine as a pet?

He is adorable. But where are his quills? Is it possible that they were removed? His butt is almost naked except from a little fur.

The quills are in the fur, not removed. They get thicker fur when it's colder and the quills aren't as visible. The butt patch of different directed fur and shorter quills is just something some porcupines seem to have. You can see it better here: Porcupine Printable Page from National Geographic Animals

I miss seeing porcupines. They've been pretty much wiped out around here as fishers (Fisher (animal) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) have moved into the area from the US.

I love the rear legs and feet trying to climb up the caretaker.

Thank you. I only saw porcupines in the zoo and they always had a big bush of quills so I was afraid this one was mutilated to keep him as a pet.
