Default What kind of pet would you get?

inspired by the bulldog & kitty thread:

whenever there is a cute animal thread, a lot of us usually say we want one. what would you get if you didn't have to worry about taking care of it, etc.?

i want a teacup yorkie but i don't have a yard for it to run in, i work a lot and i'm still a little too selfish to care for something other than myself on a full-time basis.

    what would you get?

i want a french bulldog or a dachshund or a beagle. i've been seriously considering getting one for a while now but i'm scared of the responsibility/commitment. ok, the one thing holding me back is the getting up early on weekends to walk it part.

Lots... cats, dogs (Alsatian, French bulldogs, King Charles spaniels...), rabbits, parrots... Not very original, I know.

In an ideal world I'd have loads of dogs, I'd love to get rescue dogs, but there's no way I could look after lots of them. Just one was enough work for me. Dogs are a big commitment, what with all the walking, the cost, thinking about what will happen if you wanna go on holiday etc. But anyway I'd like to have a few pugs!

Oh man... a pug, a french bulldog, a pitbull, a golden retriever, a black lab. Of course I'd only pick one though...

If room, money, and time were not an issue...

I would get a Boxer, Great Pyreneese, Newfoundland, Great Dane, and a Rottweiler. I like dogs whose turds are as big as one's head.

Sort of on topic: When I was a kid, I remember I was watching some Wild Kingdom, and they were showing baby seals getting clubbed. I used to want to go seal-nap all the baby seals and keep them in my bathtub.

We have two big dogs- golden and a golden/doodle. I would love a dachshund, an Irish wolfhound and a freisan horse. Have an empty stall that needs filled.

My house is already like a zoo bursting at the seams.

i would love to care for orphaned kangaroos or possums. But i would also love to have a yard full of Maltese/Shitzus and Cavalier King Charles (my partners worst nightmare!)

I want to adopt more and more dogs from the rescue to play with the animals I already have (3 dogs and a cat) but the hubby says no more. But maybe someday I can bring home more!

I want to get my son a hamster, but I'm afraid I will have to take care of it myself or it will get loose and hide and die and make my house smell like a dead rodent.

I had a white German Shepard named Bailey. She died 3 yrs ago and I'm still not over it. If I ever had the chance to get another one, I so would. My Bailey looks just like the one on the middle. I miss you Bailey Rose!!
